We are beyond excited to share some more of our weddings on the blog! This one is a Gatineau Wedding at la Ferme Moore, just across the bridge with beautiful views of the Ottawa River. Our team has been working tirelessly over the past year to try and increase our awareness on social media and we are excited to see it starting to pay off! We were thrilled when the team from Opportunity Knocks Events contacted us to meet with Emma and Ben for a consultation and even more excited once they chose to work with us!
What was the spark?!
We always ask my couples how they met and what really sealed in the love between the couple and so we wanted to share with you what Emma said: “We met at work while I was a co-op student. Immediately, we became inseparable and spent a summer together doing everything. I had to move back to Halifax for school but kept thinking of excuses to visit Ottawa. After a short while we both confessed we were in love. After graduation, I finally took the plunge and moved to Ottawa and never looked back. To this day, I never regretted my decision that lead to 7 wonderful years”.
Working with amazing vendors on your big day makes a difference!
Stephanie from Opportunity Knocks was so kind. She offered us some extra flowers and greenery so we could enhance and capture the lovely details from Emma’s beautiful day. It doesn’t seem like something you worry about, but for us, it brings another level to the story. Adding an extra element of design not everyone can notice is what sets apart vendors and creates a unique experience.
We arrived at le Ferme Moore (which happened to be in the backyard of Emma & Ben’s place) and we were excited to see a beautiful arch. The arch was filled with beautiful greenery and flowers from the design team at Opportunity Knocks. They included lots of greenery sprinkled throughout the entire venue and it makes for some pretty cute details and photos. All this lead to a complete vision that Emma and Ben had for their day.
Bridal portraits are the buttercream icing on top for photographers (especially us). We loved taking advantage of the beautiful sunset that was available at le Ferme Moore. On top of that the beautiful bouquets that were created by the lovely Opportunity Knocks team brought elegance and beauty to match the bride’s! They were so pretty and I can’t wait to photograph more creations from them.
The first dance as Husband & Wife
This was something that both Emma & Ben were super excited for! They were able to share this special moment with both their parents for the Father & Daughter and Mother & Son dances. For most guests the party started right after the ceremony, but this couple waited. They knew the importance of tradition. You could see the respect and gratitude they felt for their parents and it showed. Just imagine how much fun the rest of the night was as everyone was on the dance floor as we left!
